George Grant wins Major no. 3 with 40pts.

The African Caribbean Golf Association (ACGA) continued its 2025 season with its third major of the year, held at the stunning Redlibbets Golf Club in Kent. Framed by rolling hills and rich woodland, the course offered a pristine yet demanding test of golf — and once again, the ACGA members rose to the challenge.

The day belonged to George Grant, who played with remarkable control and composure to post an impressive 41 points — a standout round that rightly earned him top spot. George’s steady rhythm, combined with a confident approach to both tee shots and the short game, made him the clear winner on a course that demanded both patience and precision.

Hot on his heels was Phil Nugent, who returned a solid 36 points, showing great consistency throughout and staying within striking distance for much of the round. Del Manderson took third with 35 points, demonstrating his usual calm, analytical style — a player who always seems to be in the mix. In fourth place was Raf Roberts on 34 points, fresh off his win at Shirley Park, continuing his rich vein of form with another strong showing. Frank Skinner also posted 34 points, sharing fourth place in a display of skill and determination that rounded out a fiercely contested top five.

While the competition was tight, the spirit of the day remained as welcoming and inclusive as ever. Redlibbets’ beautiful setting, friendly staff, and immaculate conditions made it an ideal venue for another memorable ACGA gathering. As always, the real victory was the shared experience — the laughter on the fairways, the encouragement after tough holes, and the joy of being part of a community that celebrates both excellence and camaraderie.

With three majors now complete, the 2025 ACGA season is heating up. The performances across the board suggest the leaderboard is wide open — and with momentum building, the next stop in the calendar promises even more excitement.

Congratulations once again to George Grant for a truly deserving win, and hats off to all who took part in making it another outstanding ACGA event.

Next up: we head to Hendon Golf Club on Friday 4th July . Until then, keep practising — and keep enjoying the game.
